Sonny Pilger

Head of Electrical & Avionics

Sonny Pilger, is an aerospace engineer with over 22 years of experience in developing wiring systems in new aircraft, Ranging from fighter jets, civil aircraft, private jets and EVTOL’s . He began his career in 2004 at Fokker ELMO when he moved from the Netherlands to Fort Worth, Texas as a EWIS engineer working on Electrical schematics and Design Standards for the F-35 Program where he spends 5 years to support the design of all 3 variants from drafting table to first flight.

He then moved to Montreal, Canada to support bombardier from start to finish on the C-series (now A220) program as well as leading a team of wiring engineers on the Global 7000 to support their certification. In 2017 he went to Japan for the MRJ program where he was asked to work with a small team on the M100. After 2020, Pilger moved back to Montreal where he was asked to support Eviation with the Alice program and consecutively Kitty Hawk where he had a brief stint as a Director of Integration.

In 2022 he joined Archer as a wiring manager where he stayed for over 2 years and lead a small team to design the entire High Voltage and Low Voltage wiring system and integration before joining EVIO in early 2025.

In his free time Sonny loves scuba diving and woodworking as well as being an avid boardgame collector. Sonny Holds a BS in Aerospace Design from the Hogeschool Haarlem in the Netherlands.
