Stefan is a seasoned finance executive with extensive experience working with capital-intensive startups, guiding them from the earliest seed stages through periods of significant growth. Throughout his career, he has facilitated the formation of over $700 million in capital across the full stack, including equity, debt, and government grants.
Currently, Stefan leads finance at EVIO Aircraft, where he directs the fiscal strategy and capital positioning required to achieve the company’s commercial milestones in the hybrid-electric aviation sector.
Prior to joining EVIO, he served as Vice President of Corporate Development at Our Next Energy (ONE). During his tenure, he was instrumental in managing the strategic growth and corporate evolution of the energy storage manufacturer, playing a central role in its capital raising and market positioning efforts.
Stefan’s background in venture development includes serving as a founder in the AI and software space. Operating out of the DMZ and MaRS Discovery District, he led early-stage technology companies through their initial development and scaling phases, translating emerging technologies into viable commercial models.
He began his professional career in management consulting at KPMG and Capco, specializing in the financial services sector. He advised institutional clients on operational strategy and financial frameworks, establishing a foundation of institutional rigor and complex corporate governance.
Stefan holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance from Toronto Metropolitan University and maintains Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, CAPM, and CFA Level 1 credentials.
